Gemma Cobb is a researcher specialising in climate adaptation, conservation, and social-ecological systems. Her work bridges science and community knowledge to design inclusive and practical responses to environmental change. She has contributed to research collaborations with government agencies and universities across Australia, focusing on participatory methods, nature-based solutions, and youth perspectives on adaptation.
Gemma is completing her PhD at Griffith University on the socio-spatial dimensions of conservation in a changing climate. She combines qualitative and quantitative approaches—from systematic reviews and interviews to geospatial analysis—to translate evidence into grounded action. Guided by a commitment to justice, transparency, and collaboration, she works to make science more accessible and equitable in support of resilient landscapes and communities.
